Heathrow Airport

BAA (British Airports Authority) is the world’s leading airport company. It owns and operates seven airports in the UK – Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, Southampton, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen and has management contracts at a number of international airports. The company is considered a world-leader in security with one third of its staff working in this area. To protect a number of sensitive areas at London Heathrow, SALTO has installed over 1000 RFID e-locks in Terminals 1, 2, 3 and 4. Their ability to restrict access only to authorised personnel and provide comprehensive audit trail information by using their own BAA Heathrow ID card gives the airport management full control over their security requirements.
